Sam Esmail

Sam Esmail is an Egyptian American film and television producer, director, and screenwriter.

He was born on September 17, 1977, in Hoboken, New Jersey, and is of Egyptian descent. Sam is known for creating, directing, and writing the award-winning television series Mr. Robot. He has also produced other television series and movies.

Before his rise to fame, Sam received a Bachelor’s degree from New York University and a Master’s degree from AFI Conservatory. He also briefly attended Dartmouth College’s creative writing program.

Throughout his career, Sam received nominations for two Emmys and won multiple awards for his series, including Best Television Series and Best Drama Series.
